I'm impressed. That really good especially for a first show. Well fucking done. I bet you got some skinny ass legs behind those board shorts, tho.
Seriously, that's legit and I KNOW it took a metric fucking ton of discipline to get that lean.

Seriously, that's legit and I KNOW it took a metric fucking ton of discipline to get that lean. My legs aren't that bad, or at least they weren't before I started prep lol... they're the first thing to go when I cut calories back but the first thing to boom once I'm in a surplus, the size i lost was pretty upsetting but I wont be doing that category again... been smashing legs pretty hard since the show and hitting them 3 times a week, was meant to have a pull session yesterday but ended up peppering my legs again! With the amount of calories im on i'm just enjoying training even though i'm battering myself as its such a change to prep level of training which was lame and you just have no energy. Now I know I can throw some weight around, changed gym and some absolute monsters here, 21 year old kids pulling 322.5kg (709lbs)! Couple national level muscle physique guys as well but aesthetically i'm up there. Blown up post show as well, its all water but feel great in the gym for it just a little soft out of it. Key focus now is the big compound lifts, deads, bench, squat, overhead press and rows! Gunna be a great off season! Cheers for the kind words though Baph, means a lot, especially from a vertical diet power-lifter

My leg/trunk girth is the first thing to go when I drop weight for sure. Smashashing legs as we speak! Leg press massively up be prep levels! Got a few more weeks of natty life before hitting some test & npp... 12 weeks on that at 8 to 10k calories with my progressive overload programme should tell me where I’m gunna be at next year. 10 month is a deficit isnreally hitting home about how much I’ve robbed myself but I’m happy with what I brought for a first stab!

What's NPP?
|
|
|
Post by kennith on Oct 27, 2018 5:21:43 GMT -5
Nandrolone phenylpropionate... it’s like deca but faster acting and means less water retention which im struggling with at the moment, body is just clinging onto it all as body is in a state of flux due to the extra carbs. Reduced protein and just kept stable at 250g. NPP is a great bulking and mass compound but means with the reduced water retention you can kind of see more about what’s going on muscle growth wise. I honestly feel I have the ability to get a pro card, be it in Classic Physique or men’s physique, the body I brought to the stage a few weeks back was bacially just a “this would be cool to do effort” to tick a box and not a stteuctured year long build up, I feel with a good 8 months of solid growth and a 16 week cut I’ll make a splash at the bigger amatuer shows as I boiled down massively for that show and am naturally a bigger guy even without PED’s. I think it will take a couple of years to get that card maybe 3 but certainly acheiveable by the time I’m 40 if I progress like I think I will. Thinking about working with Jordan Peters who’s the best in the UK for delivering pro cards but he’s like £200 a month, I do well for myself with work so not the biggest issue but just bought a house, probably going to get engaged in next couple of months so could use that money elsewhere but the Mrs is right behind my goals and ambitions so she’d be cool with it but need to see how this next 8 months goes and rebound well... 100kg is my target body weight and step onbstage around 92kg vs the 80kg I probably was this time. That may sound unrealistic but I know just how much size I gave up to fit this class so I’m just gunna go balls to the wall and see what I can do!

I don't think it's unrealistic. You've got good genetics and you've got a game plan, you've already shown you have the discipline to stick with a long term strategy. It may or may not pan out, but it's not an unrealistic goal.

It may or may not pan out, but it's not an unrealistic goal. How's your training going? I'm up to a very watery 97kg from stage weight of 81kg, man alive water weight is vile, using tons of dandelion root and Aldactone to keep it under wraps but smashing 8k calories a day at the moment and just flat out over food lol... I said to myself i'd do it clean but you have to go dirty after a while, had to play catch up in burger king the other night, smashed 4k calories in 40 minutes and almost passed out! Food is flat out the hardest part of all of this, coach wants me on 10k calories but aint no way that happening! Legs are growing nicely, aint no way im stepping back on stage in shorts

Competing again this year, spent the last 8 months on anything from 4000 to 8000 calories a day, currently sat at 101kg up from 82kg stage weight...
Prep starts in a few weeks to compete 22 September, got a few things to change and tweak around prep, but confident im going to smash what I did last year by some distance!
May not complete after this year as need some life balance back as trust 8k calories a day is hell... The mental side of things giving up your stage shreds to a bit more fluffly from all the food is incredibly hard and Christ you feel grim as piss!!!

So i'm 9 weeks out from 2nd show and really happy with where i'm at and the progress i'v made this off season. Currently sat at 95.5kg at 12.5% body fat, for 9 weeks out i'm happy with this position given i'm 8kg up on this time last year with better condition.
I need to be at 5% body fat on the day which means I need to lose 1.8lbs of fat a week which will see me come in at around 88kg, that's 7 to 8kg up on last years stage weight and i'll be a few % leaner body fat wise so definitely bringing a better package this time around.
I'm doing men's physique and masters Muscle model, I've hammered my legs this off season and they're holding up (unlike last prep) so throwing on the speedos and getting the legs out.
The prep and cut is probably the easiest part of the process as you're improving week by week and a finish line is in sight and you know you'll be at your best soon but that off season on 8k calories a day was nasty and mentally so messed for body confidence going from shredded to chunky up but well worth it and something i will be able to manage much better this year.
Plan is to hit a UKUP show in October which is the last qualifier for British finals so could be 2 or 3 shows this year! Prime_Shredz_1981 is my insta handle if anyone wants to follow the process and will post show pics on here also after.

Next show is 22nd September, very happy with where i'm at for this stage. Id say i'm leaner at 3 weeks out than I as on show day last year and i'm at 90.5kg so 199lbs, I stepped on stage last year at 78kg so 172lbs.
Still some leaning out to do as this is a higher standard show, imagine i'll come in closer to 192lbs. I've blasted the hell out of this off season, has been tough but i'm confident i'll bring a better package to the stage this time around.
Will post some pics from the show on the forum. Will move up to classic body building after this show, potentially an 18 month break from the stage to build up some more mass.
Have been consistent but very mild with anabolic usage this last year so going into this with good health, good 6 month break from anabolic outside of a TRT cycle to mimic natural text levels before blasting some NPP for 10 weeks.

Man alive guys I screwed the pooch hard! Totally fu*ked my peak week and threw the show away.
Got down to a dry and shredded to the bone 87kg, started my carb load Thursday, banged in 1000g of carbs over the day, didn’t touch me, was flat as hell... so banged another 1000g in Friday, looked unreal, was bang on the money and best id ever looked in my life! Dry, full, vascular, everything popping...
Saturday it’s off to the venue for stage tan so I decide im gunna get my carbs in early and make a statement at the venue where all the other guys are gunna be! Huge mistake, changed a couple carb sources and within the space of 3 hours I’d gone from being granite to whipped cream, got to venue and I’d spilled over badly, watery, soft, all definition in my mid section gone, I looked a sack of pisss!
I immediately stopped all water and food but damage was done, was up all night trying to dry out, vitamin c every 2hrs, dandelion root, aldactone, everything, even some tricks of the trade to get water out but nope screwed it.
Got to the venue show day and was clear I was biggest guy in my category by some distance, dwarfed all the guys but I’m clearly soft and wet, went on stage, class of 10, first up to hit my routine, I nail it, crowds going nuts at my size for my class and bigger than most off the classic guys and muscle models (no mens open bodybuilding at this event)! I’m first call out centre stage right off the bat, not moved once, get back to the back of the stage and look up at VT and I’m a watery mess, water pouring out of me, tan practically washed off.
I end up placing 4th and missing out on an invite to the pro show which was my goal, get pulled back stage by head judge who tears me a new one for coming in soft and wet, told me win was mine for the taking but I threw it away, I told him what had happened and I’m only in my 2nd show finding my feet and he consoles me and tell me to get a coach but I left the venue devastated as wasted an entire year because i carb loaded to hard, blew up to 96kg, taken me a few days to to get the water off.
Been told by head judge to get a coach, get the water off and hit another qualifier in 4 weeks, so hired a coach first thing Monday morning after hitting the gym, was first thing i wanted to do, then entered Miami Pro Universe on 27th October so time for some redemption, smashed on so much size vs last year but screwed it all with the greedy carb load, now back down to 88.3kg and look stage ready now but 4.3 weeks to make some improvements!
New coach wants to bring me in ultra dry with 50% fullness so got 4.3 weeks of hell with this guy but we’ll put it right man! propbably aim to come in around 85kg

Just a few pics to show the drama! lol You can see the thickness in my back on the left, arms, delts, traps, lats, everything just so much bigger.. the new mass just had me so greedy for fullness and i as seduced by how much size I had smashed on, Friday before I spilled over I had the condition in the right but 9kg up on previous years frame. Pic in post below is what happened to me, imagine this but all over your body, put on something stupid like 8kg of water, to ashamed to post the pics from the front but this pic sums up the situation for both negative and positive, my feet have only just gone down but 1 more lbs of water weight to sift and im back to my peak. if you want to see my i-walk its on my intsa page old_man_logan_1981

Nice work on getting a coach. I bet you'll smash it at the next show! Yeah hoping to show better mate, dropped even more water now, down to 85.3kg, freakin dry as a bone now, like I was on the pic on the right, just gutted I didn’t bring this package on the day! Meeting with my coach tomorrow as I’ve entered the Miami pro but there’s an ultimate physique show in 21 days that I could shoot for as well as will be taking a 18 month break from the stage to grow and move into classic body building so might as well make the most of it in the short window! Either be a warm up show, go in flat, change nothing, no carb load, no water manipulation and just go in dry as f*ck and use next 19 days to get even leaner or just not bother, im easy either way.

So yesterday was PCA (2nd biggest federation in Europe) final British finals qualifier and yesterday the Mrs took 4th in a class off 16, insanely deep class...
Well I say we took 4th my Mrs took 4th in her first ever show! Been peeping her for the last year and man alive she bossed it!
Didn’t quite hit the class criteria, came in more muscular and dry that the category wanted but her physique dominated the stage and she was so far ahead of the other women that they just said listen we’ll move you into a different category but we want you at finals which is the ultimate indirect win.
On cloud 9 right now, been insanely tough being her coach and bf for the last year and now we have a place at finals at the first attempt! Will put some pics up but Jesus she looked great.
3.5 weeks of hard graft left for me still and then I get my shot at redemption but getting her In that condition as a coach and bf has motivated me like crazy!

While I'm not into the sport I have met a shit load of people who compete. Obviously you learned the hard way but starting to carb up that far away is not a good idea. Most of the people I know carb up the morning of the competition... Maybe have a bit of carbs the night before. Anyways, it's a learning process, good luck in the future. By the way, have you seen/heard the chocolate body segment from Rogan?

So today marks 2 weeks out from show! Really dialed my condition in, currently sat at 76.6kg which is 20kg off from my AM post morning show weight, got a pro coach doing this prep and Christ he got me crispy, dry and lean! 11 more days of hard dieting before we carb load and this time we do it right!
Sleep is non existent at this point just zombie mode, activity is literally average of 11 to 13km a day plus 20 mins cardio post weights hitting 6 sessions a week!
Just around 3lbs more to get off to be ifbb pro level condition, this guy worked with Matt Porter and Neil Hill and taken me way beyond what I thought I could ever get to so we see how it goes in 2 weeks but feel good and just going day to day now, went to UKBFF finals yesterday just to watch was a great show, felt like I could hang at that level.
Show I’m doing is a pro qualifier so I win this show I go pro and get into pro show and win that or place I get to compete in Europe, win the whole thing you can go to the worlds so see how we go but condition is just looking atm, I have a hot bath and I’m literally freaked out by what I see so be fun when we put some carbs in and see how body responds and how I fill out as on 75g carbs, 15g fat & 300g of protein and carbs probably being fully dropped at around 8 to 10 day out mark.
Happy though! Shape of my life but I know there’s a smidge more to be had condition wise, so I’ll keep pushing then we load!

Sup! so 2019 season sucked absolute d*ck! Screwed up one show with a disaster of a peak week where I over carbed and stuffed up my sodium and water intake and smashed on 11kg in 3 days! Then dropped 23kg in 5 weeks, entered Miami Pro, was hands down the most peeled guy there! was inside out, dry to the bone, shredded to hell and got screwed over by corrupt judging, head judge just placed his mates and gave them pro cards. Was that bad of a screw job that "they lost my pictures" so no pics from that show, put my life on hold and health at risk to get shafted! Got a show in 12 weeks, will be last show i do unless I qualify for British finals which I expect to do but will come down to bringing my best, I bring my best i qualify but not motivated to go all in again after last years screw job at MP! But see how we go! 12 weeks to lose 11kg, easy work! Below is a pic 2 weeks post show, only picture I have to show how hard I worked! Attachments:

Hired a new coach yesterday, sacked my last coach after i found out he was just a cut n paste coach chasing numbers not aesthetics and didnt know how many calories I was on or what my macros even were, was just giving me hand me down plans!
Been struggling to motivate myself prepping myself and its easy to slack on things, i need accountability and someone giving me direction.
I always make bad decisions with my own physique, i can prep other piece of cake but myself I make bad decsions.
11 weeks out on Sunday and around 12KG to, i lost 20 in 5 weeks last time around so 11 weeks be a decent amount of time to get inside out again!

7 week out point and in a great place, 80.70kg, only 5 or 6 more kg to lose in 7 weeks, in the best position I've ever been in this far out!
Which is typical really as shows are being cancelled left right and centre in the UK!
Mine is still on at this moment in time but only a matter of days before it gets pulled!

Haven't posted in here for ages but just an update in case anyone actually reads this.
Ended up doing PCA British open back in October, was a bit of a strange one, went on holiday to Spain end of august, dieted for that as wanted to look good on the beach, was a waste of time, every fucker in Spain is fat as fuck so needn't have bothered lol... Anyway come back looking leaner and lighter and thought screw it I'm gunna enter a show, not because i thought i could win or thought i would bring a good physique but more to put myself into a good position to really push food during an offseason as I'm desperate to have some sustained growth training where food is high.
So i threw together a 5 week prep and took myself down from 81kg to around 73.5kg in 5 weeks. Wasn't a great stage look in fairness was flat and drawn out, as this was an open there were no weight or height restrictions so was up against some huge guys, i was coming in around 73kg, i was up against 94kg guys so didn't place but for condition I smoked everyone, feedback I got was I was around 6th or 7th out of 14 but size was the issue and i need to gain.
Positives where I was up against British champions from multiple federations who'd all jumped into this show because there were only 1 or 2 shows on this year and i smoked them for condition.
I've now linked up with the coach of 2 of the 3 federations current British champions so plans are to not complete for 18 months and just smash on as much quality muscle as possible before we have a stab at British finals again and ideally place, going great so far, already up to 83.6kg 5 weeks post show and still shredded as furk!
If anyone wants to check any of my stuff out im on the gram insane_to_the_zane_1981, did a photoshoot day after the show so some decent shots from that also.
Anyway hope everyone is safe and well.
