I am by no means a chael fan. But his striking looked great against Rampage. For two rounds anyways and then Chael gassed. But then again Rampage was in horrible shape and was very slow. Fedor will be much faster then Rampage was. I'm still not sure who will win and I won't bet on it. Sure you will.

I don't see how Chael can beat Fedor. Pretty much anyone could KO Fedor right now EXCEPT Chael and no matter how good Chael's wrestling is, Fedor is too big and strong to hold down so he will reverse Chael and either pound him out or grab an arm. I cannot think of a better match up for Fedor in this tourney. Chael will get a double, get reversed, and get tapped in the 1st. Chael beats Fedor by throwing straight punches and not over committing. He can and probably will outstrike Fedor. What a crazy as statement but that's where we are in Fedors career. I guess that's possible and you are giving me more to think about, but I can't see Chael being able to avoid a Fedor bomb and surviving. If he can get out of the first round Chael has a chance, but Fedor is willing to take one to give one and I am not sure Chael's boxing will back him off. Fedor TKO round 1.

Chael crumbling early is always a possibility, and I'm hoping Fedor can rush him and hurt him quickly. I see Chael doing a lot of what he did in round 1 vs Rampage. Don't think he'll try to clinch or wrestle, maybe just stick and move to win a decision. Chael is definitely going to land so we'll see just how much Fedor's chin has recovered.

Fedor should have the advantage both on the feet and on the ground.
Chael's sub defense is so piss poor if he takes him down I think Fedor just gets an armbar from guard.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just can't see Chael worrying Fedor anywhere. Chanel's striking can be effective, but I don't think he can hurt anyone at HW. The only size advantage Chael has at HW is his head. Dude has a watermelon on his shoulders.

Dam. In peoples minds, Fedor must be a bigger has been than what I thought.
It got you guys making arguments for Chael fucking Sonnen.
I must be living in the past, but this is clear as day. Fedor by whatever he wants...

Chael P Sonnen has wins over some of the biggest names in the sport:
Rampage Wanderlei Shogun Bisping Stann Marquardt Yushin Okami and he was the first person to ever give Anderson Silva a real fight and came within seconds of beating him.
You bitches better be prepared to have Fedor added to that list.

My favorite Chael memory. Mine too. Favorite Maia memory as well. From the takedown to the finish, beautiful submission.

And don't forget the patented Chael "half-tap" where he gives Maia the single chest tap in the hopes Maia will let go and he can claim he never tapped.

Chael got tooled by Tito. Think about that for a little while. In 2017. I feel that part is needed to really put this into clear perspective.
