Fedor 240 / Mir 262
Im impressed with Frank's ability to get in shape after what a pig he was back in January. He obviously worked his ass off.

Fedor is going to KO him round 1 but Fedor at 240 and flabby tells me he needs to retire.

Tough fight to pick. I think if the fight ends with a KO, Fedor will win. If the fight ends with a Sub, Mir wins. If it goes to a Dec, I have no idea LOL

If fedor doesn't have it in him to light Mir up then it's over for him.
Would have loved to have seen this 15 years ago

Fedor is fat as fuck. He won’t last one round.

Mir probably would rather win by submission, so when he drops him then he’ll probably break Fedor’s arm before he can gather his senses enough to tap.
To be honest I would prefer Fedor does a little head-fake look -off then KO’s Mir in the first minute, which is his only avenue of victory. If Fedor rocks Mir and then tries to submit him, Fedor gets submitted within 10 seconds. He has to pound Mir out standing. If I’m Fedor and I drop Mir, I pretend to have forgotten the rules and kick him in the face or stomp my way to DQ. Then I duck a rematch for the rest of my career

I’m officially wobbly about my pick, but officially it’s Mir winning bigly I confess that I feel excitement and interest that I really haven’t had for a while in MMA. I guess I’m just getting old and sentimental. 15 years ago MMA was special for many reasons, mostly probably sacarcity. It was like once every two months UFC would come on Saturday night and Pride Sunday night in the same weekend. All the homies came over for UFC on Saturday and it was a big party and then just me and 2 or 3 other dudes watched Pride.

Toehold should be loving this event so far. 3 fights done, all finished by Sub. And there was a Gracie

Kind of a grappling heavy card.
Danis looked good and called out Askren.
Lovato had a slick armbar.
Could have been a stinker of an event but so far so good.
I'm kind of surprised how much I am looking forward to seeing this main event. Bellator does know how to make chicken salad out of chicken shit that is certain.

Both men can legitimately argue that he is the GOAT - yes, Mir too. They just had an interesting stat on their common opponents and it’s similar. I forgot Hunt KOd Mir. Change my pick to Fay

I don't see how Chael can beat Fedor. Pretty much anyone could KO Fedor right now EXCEPT Chael and no matter how good Chael's wrestling is, Fedor is too big and strong to hold down so he will reverse Chael and either pound him out or grab an arm. I cannot think of a better match up for Fedor in this tourney.
Chael will get a double, get reversed, and get tapped in the 1st.

That was a really fun card, especially for a BJJ guy as it was a great night for BJJ.
Dillon Danis pulling off one of my favorite subs (hence the name LOL), but actually going into it EXACTLY how I always did in tournaments: upside down from bottom guard into a knee lock position then Toehold, Neiman Gracie with the arm triangle, Rafael Lovato Jr. as one of the best BJJ guys in the world getting a sick armbar, some other guy getting a sick armbar, and then Fedor winning was icing on the cake.
Honestly that kind of felt like an old Pride card.
Chael won't beat Fedor cause he has no power so I see Fedor beating him, not sure who will win beat Bader and Mittrione though or what will happen between the winner and Fedor.
I could see Fedor beating Mittrione as they both caught eachother in that fight but Mittrione landed harder, and I don't know how Bader vs Fedor would go.
Honestly, this is the kind of tournament where a lot of guys have the ability to beat eachother on different nights.

I really enjoyed last night's fights. But that Danis kid trying to pull off the McGregor swagger came off really awkward. It made him sound stupid.
I really liked that Emelianenko beat Frank the same way hendo beat Emelianenko. That little uppercut from behind is apparently very dangerous.

If Chael beats Fedor, I quit this sport. Not really, but it would definitely demonstrate how much things have changed from back in the day.

Chael beats Fedor by throwing straight punches and not over committing. He can and probably will outstrike Fedor. What a crazy as statement but that's where we are in Fedors career.

Chaels boxing doesn't look pretty, but is actually pretty effective. I always think he is going to get mopped up in the striking, yet time and time again he hangs in there.
I think Fedor subs him but up until that point it's a competitive fight. Fedor has just not looked good when taking a punch since he made his comeback.

I am by no means a chael fan. But his striking looked great against Rampage. For two rounds anyways and then Chael gassed. But then again Rampage was in horrible shape and was very slow. Fedor will be much faster then Rampage was.
I'm still not sure who will win and I won't bet on it.
