Conor is smart to let them fight first... So he doesn't have to fight both. Very Floyd like...
Conor could have fought Tony in Brooklyn and Khabib in Russia... Two huge pay days. Not very Floyd like.

Conor wants zero part of Khabib. He’s hoping Tony wins and he will take that fight.

I'm glad this happened.
Finally we'll get to see Khabib vs Tony and Conor realizes he can't just get away with whatever he wants.
I still hope he comes back eventually to fight the winner but I doubt he will.

Conor is a superstar, but there have been others before him (Maybe not as big, but the biggest at that particular time).
The UFC should just let him fade into obscurity..........or make him submit.

Khabibs manager squashed this saying no deal was in place, and Khabib will never fight for an "interim" belt. Conors camp is stating he has not been stripped either.
Edit: Looks like MmaJunkie confirming as well. With Khabib/Tony headlining april card in Brooklyn.

Damn. April 7 is still a few months away. Plenty of time for Khabib or Tony to get injured. I will be literally shocked if this fight happens that day. Shocked, but stoked as fuck!

One of them will get injured. Conor will take the fight on short notice and defend his title as GOAT!

It is amazing that a guy is in GOAT talk when he got finished and barely squeeked out a decision in the rematch against a Gatekeeper.

True, I never called him the GOAT but he is in the discussion I think. I will say Nate was a full weight class about him though. I also think Nate is a little better than a gatekeeper.

I'm not sure what I would call Nate. He had never won a title, has he ever fought for one? I honestly can't remember. Maybe one. Anyways, he is 19-11.

Nate cuts weight to make 170, Conor gains weight to make 170. Nate even said himself that he was 190 on fight night, where as Conor was 168. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME SIZE!

Did you complain when Conor walked into the cage for a 145 lb title fight much heavier than that? Nope. It is an excuse. Conor doesn't know how to pace himself against someone he can't KO with one punch. Nate 1, Nate 2, and the Mayweather fight proved this. He doesn't deserve to be in top 5 of GOAT talk, ever. Unless GOAT is now synonymous with money maker then he surely is.

Conor vs GSP coming soon imo.

What does them both fighting at 155 mean? No one is complaining about the strategy behind weight cutting and no one is making excuses. But anyone who thinks Conor and Nate are the same size is ignorant. Conor gets credit for going up in weight on short notice to fight someone who has a larger and taller frame and naturally weighs 20+ lbs more.
Now, when it comes to Conor's cardio and ability to pace his himself... you'll get no debate from me there.
If GOAT is determined by record, then you're right - he will never be considered GOAT. However, if achievement and success matter, then he is by no question the GOAT.

The old GSP, sure. The New one, maybe. I think it comes back to the size difference. If Conor struggled with Nate, how the hell is he going to beat an even bigger guy with better wrestling?

The old GSP, sure. The New one, maybe. GSP probably still has way better cardio over Conor. I think Conor’s only chance would be to clip him coming in. I can’t see him keeping GSP at bay and when he does take him down he isn’t getting back up until the ref stops it or the bell rings.

Yeah, but as soon as GSP gets hit by Conor he will bitch-up and probably tap. So that's the difference.

Yeah, but as soon as GSP gets hit by Conor he will bitch-up and probably tap. So that's the difference. He ate some monster shots from Big Rig when Hendricks was roided out, I wouldn’t be so sure on that. Never thought I’d take up for GSP but come on.

The bigger the opponent, the less effect Conor's power has. If GSP can take shots from guys like Hendricks and Bisping who are both natural 185-200lbs, then Conor's shots shouldnt phase GSP other than a knock down at the most.

I agree with all of that. Yet the guy hit hard enough to put Aldo to sleep AND hard enough to put Alvarez on where street. No one has ever done that to either man. And I woidlnt even call it power as much as I would timing.
I'm pretty sure GSP will be able to take him down and get it done.
Either way, all I'm saying is GSP vs Conor is coming. Likely this July imo.

Lol at not acknowledging Conor as a GOAT a contender. Sure they both fought at 155 at one point, but Conor easily makes 145, you think Nate could? Doubt it. Yes, it is en excuse, but to say one doesn’t have a size advantage because they HAVE fought in the same weight division is very untrue.

A GOAT who has yet to defend a title... He didn't even defend a title in Cage Warriors... Lol. Never defended a title in his life...

Yes, it is en excuse, but to say one doesn’t have a size advantage because they HAVE fought in the same weight division is very untrue. Conor easily made 145? I disagree. Conor is not a small LW, he may not be big but he was going to have to go to LW eventually, he was killing himself to make 145. The only reason people want to use size as an excuse is because it was at 170. They called Nate from a booze cruise on 2 weeks notice and Conor had a full camp and still got stopped inside of 2 rounds. The powers that be made the size excuse up to make underlings buy into the rematch. Conor is champ at 155, he wasn't smaller than Alvarez and Nate fights comfortably at 155. Why would he be a contender for GOAT? Did he clean out 145? Not really, he didn't even defend the belt. He got whooped by a journeyman and then squeeked out a decision again but it was the size difference. He is a two division champion but so is BJ and that guy isn't in GOAT talks and neither is Randy but both those guys defended their belts too. Conor is a great fighter but wouldn't crack top 5 GOAT and would be lucky to be in the top 10.
