Neither one did anything to win the fight.

Neither one did anything to win the fight. I disagree. Shevchenko had great counters and the multiple superman/legkick combos because Nunes was too tentative. Even if you give Nunes the 5th. Valentina took 2nd, 3rd and the 4th.

Valentina took 2nd, 3rd and the 4th. It was to close, both were being tentative. While I agree with you that Valentina won the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. They were all very close. Valentina landed more and I thought they were cleaner. She was backing up most of the time, Amanda was throwing more (though not landing). The judges seems to like people that go forward and throw more. Even if it doesn't do anything. Just like a TD that turns into nothing. The judges like that.
I'm just mad, I lost $120 and I know there won't be a 3rd fight for a while.

Shitty fight. I only watched the main event but glad I didn't shell out $60 for that card.
Watching Gil's heart was impressive, but the outcome of that fight was clear by the end of round 1.
Latifi fight was boring and nobody cared.
Cejudo was very impressive. Reis, though, is probably the slowest 125'er in the top 10. Looking fast against him is a given. But still, Cejudo looked good. Maybe one more win and then a rematch against DJ if DJ isn't tied up fighting Cody or TJ if either drops down for a shot at him.
RDA was impressive as well, but I kind of don't care about him anymore. He and Khabib should fight in a catchweight fight at 162. The battle of dudes who struggle to make 155 but are too short to beat the best at 170.

The Nunes/Schevchenko judge's cards were posted. Only one round was scored the same by all three judges. All three gave Nunes round one. The other four rounds all had "split decisions."
And that's one of the many things wrong with MMA (or any sport that relies on judging to determine the winner).

I thought Nunes stole the 5th with the takedown and control. I know she did jack all with it, but we all know how that judging usually works.
Id like to see Nunes vs Holly next.
Pena wont have the head movement, won't have the counters and will get blasted.
Maybe Cat may win the rematch?
135 getting slim. Crazy how 2 years ago this was arguably the bigger money draw division. Talk about striking when the iron was hot...

Still mad about the decision last night. Ha! Me too! I'm even more mad that some of my friends who were going for Shevchenko didn't think it was a highway robbery

I thought it was a bad decision.
That said, I don't think it was bad enough for Valentina to freak out as bad as she is. She's now going to file an appeal!!!
Valentina lost the first round and arguably the fifth (although Amanda didn't do anything with the takedown). So it's not hard to see a judge giving her a 3rd round in there somewhere. She did have "octagon control" through most of the fight, whatever the fuck that means.
I am not a fan of Nunes and was pulling for Valentina but I can't be blinded that she should have been even more aggressive to try and steal that belt. Especially since she lost their first fight and knew she REALLY needed to win this one.

If Leonard Garcia taught us anything, it's that judges value moving forward and throwing punches, regardless of whether they land or not. If you're a counterpuncher, don't rely on squeaking out any decisions.
I think Valentina moves down to 125, takes the belt from whichever girl wins TUF, and holds it for a while.
