Happily rooting against the Cubs since I was old enough to know what baseball was... I HATE bandwagon fans.

Looks like the cubs are on the verge of choking it away again. OUch. Tell me about it. Oh well, I'll break even since I at least won one series. Best thing about MLB playoffs, there's still football!

Go Tribe!

I cant believe the Tribe is where they are considering they didn't have their 2 and 3 starters the last month, and throughout the playoffs. Its teams like that, that are dangerous. Im taking the Cubs in 5 though.

2 awesome games in. Looks like Kluber and Lester going on 3 days rest for a game 4 rematch? That's awesome.
Lindor is a fucking stud. Cubs are loaded with young talent but the Indians are scrappy man, very scrappy.

No Lackey will pitch game 4 for the cubs i'm pretty sure.

Post by Tapout on Oct 28, 2016 12:10:40 GMT -5
Yea, game four is Lackey/Kluber. Unless Lester is campaigning to get the start instead.
Now in know, post season isn't supposed to count in Cy Young votes, but if Kluber comes out, pitches games 1,4,7, and goes 3-0, no way he doesn't win the Cy Young..
IMO he wins it anyway.

What's the difference between a DH and a pinch hitter? Yes I'm asking because of this fella Kyle Schwarber...

What's the difference between a DH and a pinch hitter? Yes I'm asking because of this fella Kyle Schwarber... A DH plays the whole game. A pinch hitter is a replacement player or a sub

My attitude towards the whole Cubs not winning for over 100 years thing, when it comes to their opponents being the Indians is this....Same thing
I know Cleveland won it a lot more recently, 1948 compared to 1908, but that's strictly a relevant notion. What percentage of living Cleveland Indian fans were alive for, or old enough to remember that 1948 Championship? To be able to have seen that and have it mean anything to you, you would have to be at least in your late 70's-early 80's
So for almost every Indians fan out there, they have been waiting for this just as long as Cubs fans. Their ENTIRE lives. This means just as much to them....more even. Because until the Cavs last year, Cleveland hasn't won anything. Not in any sport. Chicago has had a Bears Superbowl, a Whitesox World Series and an absolute assload of titles between the Bulls and Blackhawks.......Cleveland's had none of that. They're teams usually don't even compete for a playoff spot. Hell they don't even HAVE a hockey team
So keep waiting Cubs fans. The best team is winning this one. And they, and they're fans, deserve it

Glad to see the Tribe doing well. Ok, ok, I'm ever MORE glad to see the Cubs not winning, but I give props to the Indians. I'd love to see them win it all tonight.

Well put Patty... I think of it the same way. The last person in my family who saw the Indians actually win the World Series died at the beginning of this year. He was eighty fucking five years old. That championship counts historically but that's about it. None of us Tribe fans have any idea what it feels like to win a World Series.
We will very soon though! Can't fucking believe it!
Hell, you guys know I've had this Chief Wahoo avatar for years and years. I think since the 2007 season. They should've won in 07 but fucking choked against Boston after being up 3-1 in the series. Would've loved to have seen a team with Kenny Lofton on it win. He was the last guy left from those amazing 95 and 97 teams that went to the series.
This is still really cool though. Plus, Sandy Alomar is the 1st base coach and he was on both the 95 and 97 Indians teams. So I guess at least someone from those teams will be there when they win it all.

What a game. Add in a rain delay for a little extra drama too.
This was great for baseball. Regardless if you are a Cubs fan or not.

I only made it to the rain delay, but man that was nuts
Sorry LA and Chopped. That's a rough way to see your team go out
Too any Cubs fans here though, I'm happy for you.....and for Bill Murray. Oh and from a Red Sox fan....you're welcome for Epstein, Lester, Lackey, Ross and Rizzo

It feels like a close family member died. No bullshit.
Not immediate family or like a blood aunt or uncle, but maybe like a non-blood uncle who you get along great with and talk sports with all the time. Like, an uncle you've known for 25 out of your 33 years. Yeah, feels like my uncle Mike just died.
