I might give it a try on my PC. Wasn't too big on it on console, but maybe with mods I could make my self enjoy ot more. Still prefer NV as my favourite fallout.

At first I thought all the "building stuff" was cheesy but it's actually pretty damn cool.
I loved FO3 and New Vegas but I still think this one is up there.
I am at level 43 and still having a great time with plenty still left in the game.

Just wait til you get to the DLC "Far Harbor" There's some dude named Tony who just sits outside a bar and grunts all day. Guess the nuclear apocalypse didn't work out so well for me.
I cheesed the fuck out of this game prior to the first patch. Used the dog trick to dupe every possibly useful item. All of my settlements have flying platforms that ring the perimeter (you don't need support for floors, just a staircase to build off of) and are flooded with robotic rocket launchers.
I never get out of my power armor. Had 999 Fusion Cores when I stopped playing. Got every advanced (X-01) armor in the game, then got the "Pain Train" perk. When I was done I would just start running at people and send them flying. Weapon of choice: The World Series Baseball bat. Launching people/monsters/deathclaws never got old.
Some people say cheesing the game and taking advantage of all the glitches "ruins" it. For me, being a post apocalyptic God who was basically untouchable was tremendous fun.
I also really liked the portable naval cannon, railroad spike gun, and anything that could be modded into a long range sniper.
I hear there's another DLC coming out soon as well. Might fire it back up when that happens. Hopefully you don't need anyone from the Nuclear cult, because I killed all of them. Reminded me of muslim extremists.

I've been playing New Vegas lately, X1 backwards compatibility and all.
Uninstalled F4 because I'm sure the original install was bugged to all fuck. I did fork put for the season pass, so should get in there.
Mods added a fuckload of life to this game, it isn't horrible, but it also isn't a Black Isle Fallout or NV.
Wasteland 3 was announced yesterday, shit should be tight.

I'm just having fun with all of the side quests. New Vegas was alot of fun, but I still like Fallout 3 better, just something about the Capital wasteland that grabbed me. Did you play Wasteland 2? If so, how was it? I spent hours and hours playing the original wasteland on my C64!

Started NukaWorld DLC a few nights ago How is it? I'm still playing Grand Kingdom like a fiend. But if NukaWorld is fun, I'll stop my quest for reaching number one in the world in GK and play some Fallout for a bit.

It's cool so far but it got a lot of bad reviews so I may hold of if I were you.
I got it free so that's why I am playing it.
People in general are pissed about FO4 DLCs. They feel that only Far Harbor and Automatron are the only good ones.
That said, no spoilers cause I haven't finished Far Harbor yet

So, Fallout 3, NV, 4... what is everyone's favorite? And if you include mods does that stay the same?

I really like NV but I couldn't finish. It would keep freezing up everytime I went on the dam. Fallout 4 was good. But I just stopped playing it.
Oh and I have never modded a game

Oh and I have never modded a game I love mods too much, they go so far, they basically the original DLC. If you played Rainbow 6 for the PC back in the day, you probably actually heard of the clan I was in. Arsenal, they were the ones that actually made one of the two major mods that added like 120 something guns, and the various ammo types, extending the gameplay so much. Then there was Tribes, which is one of the most amazing FPS games ever made. 100v100, no lag, and because of server side mods you had over 1000 different weapons, armors, emplacements, abilities. There was so much.

I played Rainbow 6 on xbox. I never was a pc gamer. FPS and console shooters just don't work right. Between the response delay of using a TV over a monitor, and the extremely imprecise nature of controllers over mouse.. Such a different experience.

Hey guys do you know if there is any mods for thos game that make it slightly comparable to NV in terms of being a great FALLOUT game? Or should I just start a new NV playthrough... or even a Fallout 1/2 playthrough. I could totally go for that right now.

NV is great, just curious if there is something that you don't like about 4

Gimped RPG mechanics. Removal of skills/traits. Voiced character which KILLED any form of dialogue options and clever writing we saw in the previous games. Game world feels small, though it is very dense and full. Very few choices. You literally whore yourself out to all the factions until you are forced to choose, in NV if you tried to do that you'd be told to knock if off very early. Every mission feels like a fetch quest. Especially side missions, very few are more complex that "go here, kill them, grab this." And last but not least Bethesda mucking up the works with their radiant quest system bs, "another settlement needs your support." Its not a bad game, its a good game, just a bad FALLOUT game.

Oh and what is there like 8 weapons? Cool I can customize them but still, 8 fucking guns?
And the assault rifle looks like shit. No they were not trying to be retro with it, you know what an assault rifle looked like in the original games? A fucking assault rifle. Tod Howard is a hack and he has been for a long time. He lies, makes the games smaller and more lazy with each installment, yet he attempts to pass them off as larger even though he FLAT OUT will admit that there is less to do in the game.

You will notice from the beginning of the game how fuckin lazy they were with it too. CAN WE GET A NEW SOUNDTRACK? Holy shit its the fallout 3 soundtrack, be creative, get new music, something. Yes when I hear that Butcher Pete is chopping that meat I get a little fuzzy feeling, but can you maybe change shit up a little?
Obsidian even with all their issues at least know how to make a FALLOUT game. Bethesda since day one have proven that they can make a good game, but they can't make a proper modern day Fallout for the fuckin life of them. Though 3 was pretty close and is still pretty good.

Your 4 options are, side with faggy nonsensical scientists, side with nationalistic armour clad warriors (although thats the closest representation to the real Brotherhood of Steel that we will ever get from Bethesda. And by the way this is the only right choice.) Side with faggot SJW cucks who scream "check your privilege" if you unplug a lamp because supposedly lamp lives matter. And the fail safe is the Minute Men , while a cool concept, they end up sucking a fat one.
I will say this though, siding with the brotherhood in 4 kicks ass. One of the few awesome things about this games story.

I was very tired when I wrote that, so it may have come off as harsh. Its a fun game, a very good game. However it just isn't what I would consider to be a very good Fallout game.

I don't think Fallout 3/NV/4 are good Fallout games in general. They are more like Elder Scrolls set in Fallout universe. I feel like instead of picking back up at 3, it should have been considered a different line of Fallout games, and 3+ should have been done original style.
