What's up with Trump's actions on the individual mandate? He basically said the HHS director can stop it, but didn't order him to, why not? Because Tom Price has not been confirmed or sworn in yet, so Trump can't order him to do anything. lol. Rocket Surgery.

He can order/direct the office how he wants. So you think Trump is going to order the office to engage in policy changes prior to the head of that office being sworn in? Because that's simply not how it works.

He made it seem like he was gonna be gung ho about making changes and getting stuff done. He could have ended the individual mandate right then and there, but instead decided to pander to the sitting politicians already.

www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/01/blue-red-state-democrats-trump-country-214647Lol. Legit lol. It's a very one sided article outlining liberals disgust who live in states that went red this election. Now, I'm not a dick or a malicious person. I feel bad in a way that people are so wrapped up in this shit that they feel...whatever the fuck it is they feel. It's some serous chicken little sky is falling shit. It's also a great fracture and divide piece, really good stuff there from politico like always. What do you do if a Red State moves to you? I don't know, article, maybe you do the same thing Colorado, New Mexico, and several other states did when a blue state moved to them. You fucking deal with it. And isn't a blue state moving to you the whole point of some of these immigration policies the left champions? Flood Tex and Arizona with Latinos and "move" them blue? Loses election, throws embarrassing tantrum.
Lost election because of repeatedly throwing embarrassing tantrums. Contemplate on this.

Why give the liberal fucks any more ammo than you have to during the hearing? Stfu, get your first choice in with little or no headache, then deliver the hammer. Also, I believe Trump is going to do about 1 a day for a few weeks. He will not do 2 big ones on the same day, that way the impact and screaming from the liberals can resonate as long as possible. Why eliminate ACA and TCP on the same day, when you can spread it out and pound it in to the liberals brains that this is going to be 4 years of change with no hope for them?

Actually I don't think he should eliminate the ACA, just modify it and actually start regulating the insurance companies. At its core, the ACA has more benefits than issues. What makes it so horrible is just how bad and destructive those issues are. He does need to take a blade to it though. Either right now get rid of the individual mandate (thereby boosting his approval rating because guess what, people are filing their taxes NOW), or put in reimbursement and markup requirements on the insurance companies reducing the overall tax burden of the system to a level lower than it was pre-ACA.

Pandering to existing politicians? It's like you're asking him to go full on bull in the China shop and just prove the liberals right. That'd be stupid to do. What he is doing by suggesting that he will stop enforcing the individual mandate is far smarter.

A bull in a China shop is exactly what is needed in this country. We need action, quick action, none of this shit that takes 5-10yrs if we are lucky to make noticeable changes. We need that Trump brashness, aggressiveness, to show people that things can actually be done. We need to be done with vagueness and double talk by our politicians. We need pointed surgical actions. That is why we were excited about Trump, we all thought he was actually going to do specific things instead of saying this may happen down the line.

Jackel, most business's have already signed up and given deposits for their healthcare premiums for 2017. I spent about 20 hours late during the nights going over different policies and am fully committed to a plan. It would be impossible to blow up the healthcare system overnight and have business's then go back their providers and ask for re-bids or full reimbursement. What he will do is lay out his plan over the next few months, giving providers ample time to come up with premium cost basis and group plan pricing, so when companies get their policy estimates in the late summer / fall the repeal will be built in to the pricing.

I owe 600 something something for not having insurance because of that damned mandate that he could have stopped on day 1 but CHOSE not to.

I'm hoping this isn't going to be a presidency of I did a great thing, then shortly after, I fucked up.
TPP is dead yay (even though it was killed unofficially even before Trump won the primary). But then he reinstates the asinine counterproductive global gag rules, though this was a blatant political concession for bloc votes. Top that off with his order to up the mortgage rates as opposed to adjust the debt:income ratio for the loan. Also this shows that he could have had HHS stop the mandate without director confirmed.
He's acting like Hillary, I wanted the Bull in the China shop

No unemployment, no healthcare (handled broken foot and broken toe myself no drugs or cast), no disability. I don't think there is anyone here on the forums that takes less from the taxpayers than me actually.

Nope, even from taxes only thing I revived from my tax return was what company over-withheld, didn't even take any tax breaks I qualified for. I pay the penalty instead of getting subsided health care. I don't take disability or SSI, never have either. You telling me you never took a single tax break? If not, then okay someone else has not taken anything either.

That being said, I still paid $225k in taxes in 2016, so I will never feel bad about reducing my tax burden. There is a huge difference between tax breaks and entitlements, so not sure why you are comparing them?

I agree, I"m just trying to point out that I don't take any entitlements ever, I'm against them. A tax break is an entitlement. Don't get me wrong, I think they need to exist as an incentive, but I don't take them. I personally do not want to increase someone else tax burden. Yes I am stupid that way maybe, but I don't like the idea of someone I didn't make an agreement with paying for something I am doing.

Angelo, have you ever tried to get disability for your hearing issues?

Angelo, have you ever tried to get disability for your hearing issues? When I was like 13 they said I could at 18. At 19 I did the test they said It qualified ( didn't apply though). I did again a couple years ago, I got the automatic rejection (a thing for hearing impairments under Obama even though I qualified well before). I turned down each time though the disability payments. It comes out to like 400/month because i don't live alone. But I don't take it.

With hangnails being a qualifier for disability, this doesn't sound right. Regardless it is nice to hear that you are not a lifer on the teat.

You don't take the 400 a month that would help Sporty cover all the bills? I bet she really appreciates your pride.
And, also: No you don't take less than most tax payers. You contribute a negative sum. Our taxes are an interest free loan we give to the government. Tax returns are them repaying the loan we gave them. If you aren't loaning them anything in the year- you contributed nothing towards the roads you wear your sneakers out on, or any of the national, state or municipal infrastructure that makes the country continue to be capable of conducting business. You use those things free of charge. Know who paid for those things? The rest of us.
You can climb down off that cross any time you'd like though.

I'm talking about tax breaks that decrease your tax burden. They are generally offset, so anyone not taking advantage of any tax breaks decreases the amount needed to be offset, attributing to a lower tax burden on the population. When I was like 13 they said I could at 18. At 19 I did the test they said It qualified ( didn't apply though). But now you qualify again and wont take it? It's none of my business so I try to stay out of it but I'm sorry, something about this whole scenario doesn't make any sense I qualified every time I had the hearing test with state involvement (starting with when I did the one at 19). You can qualify as disabled and still get a rejection for payments because of the approval process for auditory related disabilities that are not complete deafness. All you do is file the appeal and you get a (usually) automatic approval. It is a fucked up broken system. St. Joseph's Institute here helps most of the local HoH people file their appeals and get them expedited. I was gonna file the appeal but my principles came back. Has Trump signaled why he wants to kill net neutrality?

Whatever you want to tell yourself Jackel, it's fine by me.
But just FYI: That scheme they cooked up in Office Space? It was still stealing, even if it was just a fraction of a penny.
