I've never been a PC gamer, I think I played 2 games on the PC years ago. Now as you know from the other thread I just got a HTC Vive Vr system. My computer can handle it fine (now with new graphics card) but my office isn't big enough, the desk takes up to much room. I need to keep that PC in the office and was thinking about getting a new PC just for the vive and other PC games to put in a different room, one big enough to use the vive better (not walking into shit lol)
I just don't know if it will be worth it. Why should I look into pc games over xbox1 or ps4? It seems like all the best games are on both console and PC.
What are the benefits of pc gaming? is there any benefits?
Thanks

Just do it. Join the master race. Add me on steam, we can be friends. Special friends.
The beauty now is a lot of Xbox 1 "exclusives" are available on PC. You buy one you can download it on both as long as your Windows 10 is connected to you xbox account. Unfortunately if those Xbox games are multiplayer good luck trying to find people to play with on PC.
Otherwise most online PC games have very loyal playerbases so you will find matches for years.
I'm more of a single player guy myself, games just look, and function a lot better on PC. I'll take a keyboard and mouse over a controller for 97% of the games I typically play (there are some exceptions)
If you can fork up the dough for a high end gpu I'd do it, yeah they are pricey, but it will last you a long time and by the time you do replace it it will have been well worth it. I'm using a gtx 1070 and holy shit does it kick ass. I would highly recommend that card to anybody.

Honestly the only reason I still use my PS4 is Bloodborne. That's literally it. Bloodborne is that fucking good.

I need a 970 or greater so my computer guys got me one that was in the 1000's. I'll look when I get home
My computer guy said he'll build me a really badass computer at cost of everything. No labor.
I'm also a single player guy, last game I played on multi player was the 1st UFC game. At weekly we had a group of people that all played.
You can use a controller over a keyboard right? I don't know if I could make the switch to keyboard.

Long term savings money-wise. Better graphics. More Games. No need for a deadzone (in other words when you start aiming you aim right away in an FPS, no delay). Precision controls. Multitudes more content for the same games. More free games. Can also run to the TV, and use controller of your choice if you really want to sit back on a couch that way. (though you can sit back on the couch with keyboard and mouse). Can emulate most previous generation consoles (expanding games even more). Multi-tasking while gaming is nice at times. Can do a quick alt-tab to post on the forums, look something up, etc... Faster download/install times. Many more sales available so can get almost any game on sale at almost any time (if you paying for it in the first place) More players in matches in most online games compared to console.

Long term saving. You mean because you won't have to buy a new console every few years as they switch them up? Cause wouldn't you still have to update your graphic card on the computer? wouldn't it kind of balance each other out?
I never noticed a deadzone. But then I don't play many 1st person shooters.
More content. I guess that is the mods you guys were talking about in the other thread. I looked into some of that. Yeah, that's probably a big plus. I've read that sometime there is full missions (fallout 4) that you can get on the pc version.

Those type of games. 1. Much better graphics, you can do 60fps+ true 4k gaming on PC 2. Yeah you don't have to keep buying new consoles, you don't have to subscribe to play online (except MMOs), the games are cheaper. If you "futureproof" your machine, you won't need to upgrade. There is a infograph somewhere that shows the amount you pay on an Live/PSN subscriptions the roughly 17%+ extra game cost on consoles, combined, is greater than what it would cost to keep your vid card top-tier each year through the life of a console. On the plus side though, you don't need to upgrade it each year. Whatever you buy today is at a minimum without massive unforseen changes, gonna match what the next-gen console will be doing. 3. All console gaming have a deadzone (some allows you to remove it in the options). It has to do with the way the thumbsticks work. If you just slightly move it, it won't do anything, you have to MOVE it to get it to do something. This is most noticeable if you trying to fine tune your aiming, or something like that. 4. There are basically full add-on games not just missions you can get for Oblivion, Fallout, etc... Hell LOL/DOTA came off of mods for Warcraft. 5. Fallout-Skyrim-State of Decay, were ported from the PC, they run better and have more content on the PC. GTA was ported over to the PC, has more content, and better graphics. Open world games are much more plentiful on the PC, it even home to the only true open-world one (though it an MMO you can play for free) called EVE Online. Some other bonuses.... HUMBLE BUNDLE. Every 2 weeks a new one (plus their monthly), pay what you want to get like a few hundred dollars worth of games. Steam Sales. Watch TV while gaming. Game libraries.. and example of this, look at Origin for instance (not a fan of them but a good example) www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/origin-access/vault-games they are subscription based yes, but you get access to all that for instance during it. There are lots of these kinda places online for "older" games.

I'll start looking around to see what kind of open world games I can find.
A Western survival game would be cool

7 days to die looks good. The forest also looks fun. those to I will put on a list to get.
The other two. Dwarf Fortress is suppose to be crazy indept but I can't get past the graphics. Rimworld, the graphics turn me off.

Rimworld, the graphics turn me off. Rimworld is basically Dwarf Fortress with actual graphics. Huge in-depths, lots of fun, but yeah it focused on gameplay over graphics. Also all 4 of those if you want to give them a "trial" you can check Piratebay or somewhere.

It's 10X better than console IMO. I can't think of anything I like about console gaming that I don't prefer with PC

Traditional sports game I've always preferred on Console. Even though the PC always had updated information/content, I always felt they play better on consoles (minus Golf/Racing). With native controller support being built in, I'm sure that changes in terms of gameplay nowadays though.

Specifically designed for the htc vive. Swappable batteries without removing headsets and rocking a 1070. Hey, if price is not an issue, right? Enjoy. LOL WTF, is that a backpack computer?
The vive really needs to get some games out there. Not these short demo length stuff they have out now.
I have been playing a computer game for a week or so now. Stronghold HD

You could build your PC with a Micro-ATX or a Mini-ITX board instead of the traditional size and then fit the whole thing in like one of those old cold-war style small cases they used to handcuff to their wrists. Could move that around without issue, could even mount a screen into the lid, and removable keyboard/mouse combo into the bottom.

I've heard good things about 4. 2 and 3 were not good games, but damned if they weren't fun to just blow though. 2 especially. Nailing a x-ray ball shot from hundreds of meters away, or nailing someone's grenade belt and blowing up a group

Sniper Elite 4 looks good from what I saw on youtube. But now I'm thinking about just waiting until Tuesday and getting Ghost Recon Wildlands. That looks fun too
Oh I did end up getting all achievements for banished. It was a fun slower pace type of game.
