I was watching an episode of that new netflix show "The OA" and they played this song in the background. Paused the show and now im in the middle of a YouTube Jim Croce binge.

Jim Croce had to be the oldest looking 29 year old in history.
He died around year later after that video at age 30.

By the way, I didn't know much about Jim Croce. Sure I heard "Bad Leroy brown" at some point while growing up. But I started researching Croce on accident after hearing the "Time in a bottle" song in that hangover movie and reading the wiki about the song
Then I became a fucking Jim Croce scholar watching countless videos and documentaries about the guy plus downloading most of his music catalog.

That documentary got me so emotional when I first saw it. These old forgotten musicians, masters of their craft, were wasting away in Cuba until Cooder found them. Most of them started dying one by one within years of the Documentary. But you can bet the last years of their lives were their best. They toured all over the world. Funny how that works, some of them were over 70 years old and they achieved super-stardom the last 5 years of their lives. Better late than never I guess.

It was an amazing story and I agree that it was probably the best years of their life.
