Winter Meetings coming up, should start to get fun soon.
Looks like the Bucs are close to shipping McCutchen to the Nats for Trea Turner

Wow -big trade. I would definitely hold on to Turner.
Be interested to see what kind of trades Dombrowski pulls off. I would probably trade Jackie Bradley Jr as I don't buy him being a regular, but we will see what happens. I do NOT want to trade Moncada unless it's for a Chris Sale package. If the Sox can end up with Sale and pick up a Beltran rental as our DH for one year? We are a serious contender.

Id be shocked if Beltran didn't come back to NY. Even more so now that Cespedes went back to the Mets.

Holy fucking hot stove, Batman
Dumbrowski just went hole hog. Chris Sale, Tyler Thornborg and Mitch Moreland all coming to Boston, without messing with the major league roster one bit, other than Shaw, who sucked. Yes, they did trade away some major prospects, but they have a wealth of them. And most of their best young players, Betts, Boegarts, Bennitendi, Bradley and Vasquez are all already on the major league team
Sale slides every pitcher in the rotation down a spot. It puts Pomeranz in the bullpen to potentially be their version of Andrew Miller. Thornborg and a returning Carson Smith make the bullpen better as well. Price will now be the third starter behind Sale and Porcello, which is crazy, considering he makes 30 mil a year, but fuck it. One guy's the reigning Cy Young winner and the other is the best lefty in the game not named Kershaw, so that's where Price belongs now
Moreland has a decent bat, but more importantly just won the gold glove at first base, so that allows them to slide Hanley Ramirez in to Ortiz old DH roll. And a much slimmed down, motivated Pablo Sandoval comes back to play third again. Plus now guys like Betts, Boegarts, Bennitendi and Bradley have another year under their young belts. I'm really looking forward to next season. They might have a roster so good, not even the dumb ass manager can fuck it up

Yeah man, great pull by the Sox.
The White Sox now traded Eaton to the Nationals for Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez - two serious blue chip prospects. The White Sox now have Moncada and Giolito so they have some seriously bright prospects, but giving away your two best players is rough for 2017. I am kind of surprised Eaton brought that big of a haul but he is a great addition for the nationals

Sounds like the Nats were ready to give up on Giolito. Only way I can make sense of giving him up for Adam Eaton.
Gotta think that Sox just became favorites next year to win it all.
The Yanks should be back in contention after this season, and the rivalry should get good again.

Late to this thread, but super stoked that the Cards got Dexter Fowler. IT's about time the front office spent some money. I hope they make a few more moves to really solidify the roster.
