I think that was probably less about Donald Trump and more about her seeing a chance at her 15 minutes.

Toehold, have you ever seen a family that is literally generations into the handout system, is shitting out kids left and right, none of which has ever seen a person in thier family work? And have you seen what type of environment that usually causes? I have. I see it daily. It's not pretty. And there is little chance, if any, of them ever pulling out of that handout spiral. And do you think this is beneficial to anyone, mostly our society itself? I'm all about the fall back on program, they NEED to exist. When I say need, I mean that if they did not, there would be a lot more people out there desperate for money. Desperate people do drastic things. But...when does the handout end? Why do we encourge bringing more children aboard the family that is on the handoUT system but rewarding the family with more money for each child? Do you see where this is going? I don't necessarily agree with what everyone says on here but man, you are really prone to just sticking your fingers in your ears when it comes to these types of discussions. Well I haven't seen it first hand but I know these cases exist and IMO it's REALLY wrong to abuse the welfare system and something should be done about it to prevent it. For example, I think either you shouldn't be allowed to have kids if you are on welfare, or else certainly no more than ONE kid. Like if you already have a kid and THEN start needing it, that's one thing. But if you are on welfare you should NOT have a kid because you are bringing someone into the world that you can't pay for to leech off the government. I'm not sure how it would be enforced, but it should. Also, while I am for the legalization of all drugs, I know there are drug dealers who make a shit ton of money selling drugs and THEN on top of that, take advantage of welfare because they can prove they don't have a REAL job, and trick welfare providers that it means they are poor. I don't know how all these things can be enforced, but one idea is that kind of like there are parole officers, if you are on welfare someone should be assigned on at least a monthly basis to enter your residence or apartment and look around and make sure you don't own a lot of valuable possessions, because if you do then it's a sign that something shady is going on and you must be making money somehow that they can't tax or have a better job than they are aware of to be able to afford all that, and your welfare and food stamps should be taken away. I think other things could be done as well, and I'm not sure how they'd enforce it all, but they could do it. You should also HAVE TO PROVE you are trying HARD to either find a job if you don't have one, or working full time at a job if you do, and prove to your welfare "officer" or whatever, that you are doing these things, and if you aren't, then you also lose your welfare checks. I only believe you should be allowed to have the BARE minimum from welfare: meaning enough to eat simple food, live in the cheapest room possible, maybe own a shitty used car if you need to make it to work and a cell phone, and maybe a couple other bare necessities and ZERO extravagances. Kind of like living in prison: being given just enough to survive, nothing more. I just don't believe that IF you are REALLY trying your HARDEST to make ends meet that you should starve to death or have to live on the street. Because there really ARE people who try as hard as they can and still really can't provide for themselves, and that's why I think welfare should exist. I don't think you should just be able to be like "I don't want to get a job, give me a check".

Toehold, you really need an avatar. But based on your love of the welfare state, I don't think you're going to go get one on your own. So here's a hand out. And I bet you're looking at that and thinking it sucks. Well, it's a hand out. It's supposed to suck. LOL, not sure what "THAT" is... But actually I agree with you, your hand from the welfare system, IF you can qualify for it, SHOULD suck. You should have ZERO extravagances. Like someone throwing a few packages of ramen noodles and some cans of tuna fish at you, and saying "here's a tiny cubicle you can live in with a used couch you can sleep on, some running water and a toilet, a used 10 year old car to get to the job you'd better be working your ASS off to get or sustain, and a cheap cellphone so you can try to contact whoever you'd better be working for. None of what you'd be given should be anything anyone who's experienced any privilege should be the least bit excited about, and there should probably be a cut off or deadline to how long you can even be on welfare unless you can REALLY prove you are trying as hard as you POSSIBLY can to make ends meet, or it should be taken away.

I don't agree with the car, housing or cell phone, but the rest sounds reasonable.

I don't agree with the car, housing or cell phone, but the rest sounds reasonable. I think it depends on where you live honestly. Some places have absolutely worthless public transport, and a lot of places nowadays will not hire you if you don't have a vehicle.

Some places have absolutely worthless public transport, and a lot of places nowadays will not hire you if you don't have a vehicle. Only a car if he needs to get to work, otherwise if he lives in a city, no car. Cell phone cause how can you contact your boss if you don't have a phone? It's a necessity these days. Otherwise, if he could do without it, then I'd agree. We are talking bare minimum. I also don't know why Garth (or Cybergod? he's on the only other guy on ignore) is probably posting to me knowing I wont read it. To go on a diatribe against him without me EVER saying anything insulting to him (UNTIL he attack me) just baffles me. It's like if I saw someone with a Trump bumper sticker so I tried to get the guy to pull over (metaphorically speaking) to try to beat the shit out of him cause he disagrees with me. Whatever, haters gonna hate, then eventually get consumed by that hate and probably have a stroke or heart attack... I'll try to make this my last response to him regardless as it's silly. I really don't WANT to hate the guy, I don't LIKE hating anyone, but he makes it so impossible NOT to hate him when he does nothing but attack relentlessly without reason. I really DON'T wish you ill Garth, I just wish you'd stop attacking everyone who disagrees with you. That's one difference between a lot of liberals and a lot of the most hardcore right wingers (I mean only the HATEFUL ones, most right wingers in general are decent people): the leftists often only fight IMO when we HAVE to. I'm a live and let live kinda guy, but if you fuck with me I'm not having it.

Some places have absolutely worthless public transport, and a lot of places nowadays will not hire you if you don't have a vehicle. This was my line of thinking. Only a necessity. Hell, maybe he could have a van and no apartment at all and live in it. That seems fair in terms of spending even less money on him. I really mean the bare minimum. And for those who think every one of my opinions must be super left to the point of giving hand outs: I DON'T support affirmative action. We have a black president and we are past that point. No one should be given a job because of their race or in spite of one. If you work hard enough you should probably be able to get a job unless life COMPLETELY takes a shit on you, in which case, I agree with the bare minimum in terms of welfare. But that "we need to hire X number of people of this race or X number of women to be fair to everyone thing" that's just a bunch of bullshit and leads to less qualified people having jobs and fucking up. I'm NOT some mindless leftist. I'm just not very politically informed, but I'll get more informed over time.

Free cellphones have been around since Billy Boy's days. Well he was free phones, Bush Jr. upped it to Cellphones, and Obama took credit for it all.
What needs to happen is new startups and job openings now, but that is likely happening over the next 18months or so now with proposed changes, and likely changes... as long as he stops making it look like he's gonna be filling all appointed positions with lobbyists (that he wanted to outlaw) and insiders. With an actual unemployment rate over 30% now... things are worse than most think.

This is just a weird tangent: but in terms of the "getting shit for free" argument, it was interesting when I for a very short period of time worked on a farm in the middle of bumble fuck Vermont because so many people were farmers that a lot of times if someone couldn't pay for something the other person would be willing to accept some of the vegetables or fruits they grew in exchange for whatever item they wanted to buy.
I remember seeing it at a video store: dude wanted a video but couldn't afford it so he gave the store owner some swiss chard, kale and artichokes he grew for it.
That's the ONLY way pure communism/socialism can be the LEAST bit successful, in an agricultural society.
Obviously it doesn't work otherwise, not even sure it could really work fully that way either.
But the idea of trading services or goods for things instead of money is kind of cool at times.

Truth be told, you were acting like a child. You're a horrible drunk. I don't think I was acting like a child, Garth was acting like one and he just completely attacked me for ZERO reason and I responded by getting super pissed. I'm usually a pretty good drunk: I barely ever get in arguments when drunk. Also, I don't think most of the responses I left were necessarily when I was drunk, unless they were all Friday night after like 1AM as I haven't drank since then. When I left my SUPER pissed off response to Garth on Friday night and then put him on ignore, that was BEFORE I drank. Then went offline for a while and got drunk and didn't post much more that night. It was just anger, not booze. Had I been drunk I probably would have been LESS angry and more chill LOL. And be honest: who was being more like a child, me or Garth?? You KNOW that I am NEVER the one to attack first and that someone has to really piss me off for me to act like that. I hadn't said anything to insult him or anyone else and he threw a diatribe at me. He was the child. I just allowed him to get to me. I don't believe I acted immaturely at all really.

Yeah, but it's Garth, that's his schtick and you took the bait. Indeed, my schtick is to point out precisely how flawed someone's argument is. True, I add insults which are (maybe) not always necessary, but they are always well deserved. Liberals' schtick is to strike first with accusations, and then get extremely, childishly butt hurt after you call them an idiot because they can not mount an intellectual defense to any point you have made Toehold completely and hilariously gave himself away as a pathetic dunderhead. Yes, his PhD relatives are stupid. You think you need to b intelligent to get a PhD? I have sad news for you: you don't in many cases. You just have to spend several years of your life totally dedicated to kowtowing

And on the note of PhDs and such: Toehold is the quintessential liberal, in that he falls for the most common liberal logical fallacy: the appeal to authority. Hilariously, this is also the one that Germans in the Hitler era fell for the most (noted by US Army psyop corps, which used this to their advantage in crafting their campaigns)
"my friend got 1600 on his SATs a is a certified genius... He is for Hillary!!!" "My relatives are Ph.D! They voted for Hillary!!"
Someone should tell toehold that David Duke has a PhD

I haven't seen anyone that divorced from reality since a guy in my Army unit was on angel dust (PCP) and tried to take on two MPs.
Or maybe he's just a dumb 'shroomhead.
But he's entertaining either way.

The white liberals have started wearing safety pins on their shirts...in order to alert blacks and Hispanics that they're anti-trump.
Reminds me of the Jews wearing patches on their shirts in Germany.

. I think it's hilarious that he screeches on about you smiling crack while he brays about doing psychedelics. Crack is more dangerous from an addiction standpoint but psychedelics are greater danger from a "lose your mind" standpoint.
