Phil's NFL picks Detroit vs MinnesotaAtlanta vs WashingtonHouston vs Denver I really like Houston this week and Minn should also win. I'm having trouble believing the Skins are for real though. I also can't see the Raiders winning another game this season. I don't know if I have seen a team less interested in winning a game.

But this year I'm not confident in betting on any NFL game LOL The Raiders. I think lastnights game just killed them. I agree, they probably won't win another game. Just overall I'm not much into the NFL this year. Its all about College for me.

It's hard to see the Bills winning another game as well this season. Maybe if Allen returns they might win a meaningless game in week 15 or 16, but they are horrible at the moment.
My top 3 in each conference:
AFC: NE KC Pitt (Houston are interesting)
NFC: NO Rams Car (tough pick at 3, but I think Carolina have less holes than Phi, Minn, and GB).

Tough loss to swallow, but that was an insane game. I think that's the blueprint for how the NFL wants the game to be over the next decade. Tons of scoring, the only defense that matters is big individual plays, fantasy stats galore.

Pretty crazy to think that there is a third team in the league (Saints) that would be favored over both of those teams at home or neutral site at this point.

I don't know that the Saints would be favored in a neutral site game. They would probably be standard -3 favorites at home. The Chiefs win by double digits against the rams without a horrendous start aided (caused?) by very lopsided officiating. The Chiefs are pretty clearly the best team in the league after thinking about it rationally.

Turkey day bets made while getting the smoker going:
Bears -3 Over 60.5 Atl/New Orleans.
Bears defense is legit and I think they win even with Chase Daniel, best backup QB in NFL history.

What do you mean by lopsided officiating? The Saints are the best team in the league hands down... Sucks it didn't go over, fucked up my parlay as well... The officiating in the first quarter and half especially of the Chiefs/Rama game was lopsided and bad. Blatant missed calls against the Rams and bad calls against the Chiefs. The Chiefs had to use a timeout and a challenge to get a PI on a tipped ball overturned to keep the rams from getting a free TD, the right tackle got 5 non called false starts against one of the best quick burst edge rushers in football and two were on TD plays. Did you watch the game? There was plenty of talk/bitching/commotion about it during and after the game. I'm not a "blame the refs because we lost" guy nor do I think that's the reason they lost down the stretch, because they still had the game in hand and gave it away. But a "normally" officiated game is a double digit win for KC. And I think the Chiefs would be favored by more at home vs NO than NO would be favored at home. Now a lot of that is due to them being a dome team, but it's irrelevant really. Everyone seems to forget that the Saints lost to TB.

I think the Saints have benefited from a softer schedule than even the Rams now and definitely the Chiefs. But there's no doubt that they are good and probably the class of the NFC.

The Chiefs played the Cardinals the Browns the Bengals the Broncos twice. Not liek they're playing top teams. Thier D can definitely be exploited especially by someone like Breese. Just look what the Saints did to the Rams.

The Broncos are a bigger test than the Falcons at this point, just because they have a good defense. The Chiefs have played the hardest schedule so far in the league.
The Saints should be SB favorites, because they won't have to play a road game the entire post season including SB. But I still don't buy that they are the best team in the league.

And Alex Smith would be having a comparable season to Breese if he had that team. He's thrown 1 TD to a couple of undrafted guys and that Smith guy seems like a decent weapon, but you're having recency bias. The majority of his TDs have come to vets and Kamara, who's done more for Breese than Breese has done for Breese this year and last.

How in the world is KC better than the Saints? The liberal pussy brings his irrational nonsense to the NFL thread? Saints have scored more, given up less, BEAT the Rams, only have one loss, and vegas has explicity explained the Saints would be favored on a neutral field. Under no scenario can one argue KC is the better team. Week 3? Sure, an argument then could be made. Now? KC's defense is one of the worst in NFL history and when they play a top 10 offense like the Chargers, Patriots, Rams or Steelers they give up 500 yards. KC is an excellent team with an amazing offense, but they have no rational argument to make for being a better team than the Saints.
KC is a top 5 team. But after losing to the Rams is NOT the time a rational person can argue they are the BEST. They are behind the Saints and Rams, LOST to the Patriots and can lay claim to beating the Chargers and Steelers. Beating two teams weeks 1 and 2 doesn't equate to being the best. We all know andrew is the least rational fucking person in the history of the board so glad to see him spewing his utter nonsense here. What a fat fucking clown.
