Highly unlikely Trump is going anywhere. Id think he shrugs off this impeachment bs and wins 2020.
The guy is a goofy fuck but ill be damned if he didnt stick to his word and actually try to accomplish the shit he said he would do. Ill give him that. Cant recall a president in my lifetime doing anything remotely close.

Here's the thing...I'm not sure Trump has gained many votes. But I just don't see the dems having a candidate that will bring people out to vote. I think it's entirely possible that Trump gets about the same number of votes he got last time, but actually wins by a larger margin due to poor voter turnout.

I dont think he has lost many either. I hear all too often how great of a job hes doing....and i live in a progessive city where you dont see blatant trump support, i.e., flags, shirts, bumper stickers, etc.
The guy stuck to his guns and tried to accomplish what he he ran on. And the stuff he couldnt do? Much like with Obama, his supporters will just claim obstructionism.
Some ninnies do vote with emotion. But most vote with their pocket in mind, regardless of what they say, post, poll, etc. The economy is solid right now. Stock market is excellent. Unemployment is low. Isnt this what we strive for as a country? Why would anyone but those that run on emotion want to change any of this?
I just dont see Trump losing. Warren may have thee only shot in hell and it would be a longshot at best. Biden and Bernie will likely have a heart attack. Pete isnt getting the black nor hispanic religious conservative vote. Harris is toast and the rest are irrelevant.
Not to mention....i fully believe most that push for socialism are lazy fuckers. Ones that talk a big game but likely wont make it to the voting booth. Or...not be registered. They will drop the ball.

Trump won with no record and he was an annoying asshole. He’s still an annoying asshole but he now has one of the most successful records of any 3 year run a president has ever had. Anyone that thinks he loses to a socialist or anyone who threatens to unravel the economy is crazy.... unless our country is 51% worthless lazy fucks

Yeah if the Dems trot out old goofy bastard Biden, it's a walk. Nobody will turn out to vote.
Hate to say it, but Bernie is the only one who has a chance in my opinion.

That’s the way with all of them currently. Bernie will have a massive problem with middle class working families, small business owners and the entire middle of the country. Warren will scare off all the independent voters Pete can’t win as the blacks and browns will never elect a pole smoker Biden probably has the only platform that is electable but he is a train wreck when he is not reading a teleprompter and trump will make him look exponentially worse than his “friends” have during the debate. Bloomberg is the intriguing candidate.... if the liberals are willing to own hypocrisy and elect a Wall Street embedded billionaire, he could steal a lot of independents from Trump

Trump has made my skin crawl with his spoiled-billionaire lack of tact and almost comical dishonesty and exaggerations regarding his favorite person: Himself.
His clumsy handling of the whole Ukraine affair is another example of his loose-cannon behavior -- left in the hands of any COMPETENT diplomat, rather than taking the form of some shady "drug deal", as John Bolton called it -- that entire "favor" could have been handled routinely to our satisfaction. But Trump doesn't listen to anybody, and his subsequent impeachment -- and almost certain ACQUITTAL in the Senate -- will simply bolster his aura as the savvy businessman battling a corrupt political machine.
Which is EXACTLY what he is.
So I will be HAPPY to help re-elect this unruly, overripe adolescent in less than one year, simply because the Democrats have devolved into something so loathsome, it defies description.

My wife went from 100% against and hostile about DJT to now saying she would vote for him last week. She watched the Russia hearings and that started to turn her opinion. She watched the hearings last week and compared what she actually watched to how most media covered it. She basically thinks it has all been a charade based on BS. The big change for her was watching everything first hand and having her own thoughts before watching/seeing ‘news’ reports about it. That is a sample size of 1, so not statistically valid. I would have never guessed this about face would happen. That is baffling that someone would become more likely to vote for Trump. Almost so baffling that I'd call bullshit. Supporters from the jump are dropping like flies and this lady has come around? It almost seems like the kind of thing a guy would make up to try to gain steam. But that would be silly. Did your wife suffer a head injury? Donald Trump supporters are “dropping like flies?” Do you get 100% of your news from your imagination?

They thought she was going to win going away, and dumbocrat voters weren’t going to get off their despicable worthless asses for something they thought they’d get anyway: Hillary elected. Now I’m seeing similar overconfidence from Trumpers. They think he’s going to steamroll whatever freak show the Dems trot out, and I think they base this purely on how much trump deserves to win and how awful the Dems are. They forget that Bill Fucking Clinton was AT LEAST as big a freak show as Liz Warren or the fag, and Baraq Hussein was as big a freak show as Ilhan Omar.

Hillary got the same amount of votes barrack got in 2012... I wouldn’t call that a low turnout by the left. What state do you think Djt loses that he won last time? Pennsylvania seems the most likely but I think it’s impossible to argue that he is not a much stronger candidate this time around. I think it’s also possible for him to win Colorado and Nevada.

So I think Trump wins if the election was today, but a year is a long time. Mark Cuban, Bloomberg, Bezos, Soros, and a couple others could all agree to endure short term loss to create a couple negative indicators at the right time for the press to lie about... could spell trouble.
If I’m betting, I’m betting Trump, but there is cause for concern and even alarm.
Hillary getting the same number of votes as Baraq is a chilling statistic. It is a sign of the demographic change beginning to overwhelm the country. In every 4 years, more low IQ nonwhites turn 18 while high IQ whites turn up dead.
At some point, it doesn’t matter how fabulous a republican is, or what absolute clowns the Dems are. After the tipping point, Ronald Reagan would not be able to beat OJ Simpson (who, by the way, would win the black vote if he ran today) 2020 tells us if we have reached that point yet. We may have. In my lifetime there have been 3 republican presidents and 3 Democrats. The democrat lost the white vote each and every time.

A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE ON PRESIDENTIAL MISBEHAVIOR
by David Harsanyi
Dec. 5, 2019
A rational look at some past questionable behavior by previous presidents:
"Last week, Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee trotted out a trio of dispassionate legal experts to explain why the impeachment of Donald Trump was justified. They were there to bring a veneer of gravitas and erudition to what’s been, until now, a highly partisan affair.
But however smart people such as Michael Gerhardt, distinguished professor of constitutional law at University of North Carolina, might be, they aren’t immune from peddling partisan absurdities. Once Gerhardt argued that Trump’s conduct was “worse than the misconduct of any prior president,” we no longer had any intellectual obligation to take him seriously on the topic.
Because, while I’m certainly not a distinguished professor, I am very confident that history began before 2016. Which means that, even if I concede Gerhardt’s framing of Trump’s actions—bribery, extortion, etc.—I can rattle off at least a dozen instances of presidential misconduct that are both morally and constitutionally “worse” than Trump’s blundering attempt to launch a self-serving Ukrainian investigation into his rival’s shady son.
Let’s ignore for a moment that American presidents have owned their fellow human beings, and focus instead on the fact that in 1942, the president of the United States signed an executive order that allowed him to unilaterally intern around 120,000 Americans citizens of Japanese descent.
Not only was the policy deliberately racist, it amounted to a full-bore attack on about half the Constitution that he had sworn to uphold. Such an attack was a specialty of FDR’s, despite the all the hagiographies written about his imperial presidency.
Woodrow Wilson—who regularly said things like, “a Negro’s place is in the corn field”—didn’t merely re-segregate the civil service, personally firing more than a dozen supervisors for the sin of being black; he first pushed for, and then oversaw the enactment of, the Sedition Act.
Wilson threw dissenters and political adversaries into prison, instructed the postmaster to refuse delivery of literature he deemed unpatriotic, and created an unconstitutional civilian police force that targeted Americans for political dissent.
So, all of what Wilson did was “worse.”
Sorry to say, but despite their great achievements, both John Adams and Abraham Lincoln suspended habeas corpus, the latter without any congressional approval. Surely, deep down, even those who act as if Russian social media ads can topple the republic believe that denying citizens their fundamental rights of due process is a more serious offense than Trump’s rhetoric and actions.
We can go on and on. Andrew Jackson ignored courts and laws and used his power to ethnically cleanse lands that he also sometimes happened to have a financial interest in.
Teddy Roosevelt threatened American citizens with military intervention and abused his power in one way or another every day of his presidency.
A reckless John Kennedy probably shared a mistress with a leading Chicago mobster, Sam Giancana, whom he met in the White House, setting himself up for blackmail or worse.
Richard Nixon may have lost his job after obstructing an investigation into freelance GOP spying on his political opponents, but Lyndon Johnson skipped any pretense, and just asked the FBI and CIA to spy for him. CIA officials, illegally operating inside the United States, spied on the Goldwater campaign in 1964 and brought Johnson information he used to undermine his opponents at every turn. That’s “worse.”
Johnson also lied about the Gulf of Tonkin, escalating the Vietnam War, and then kept lying about the war until he left office.
I won’t even bother to catalogue the instance of other presidents misleading the public—either though lies of commission or lies of omission—in their efforts to precipitate or extend military conflicts, costing thousands of American lives. All of this misconduct is in every conceivable way “worse” than Trump’s actions.
Bill Clinton couldn’t go a month without some shady and humiliating scandal.
Now, maybe, Gerhardt doesn’t view incidents that weren’t investigated, prosecuted, or contemporaneously illegal as “misconduct.” That would be unfortunate. But even if so, referring to Trump’s actions as “worse than the misconduct of any prior president” would be terminally ahistorical.
Of course, to argue, “Sure, he’s bad, but hey, there were worse presidents than Donald Trump!” is a terrible defense. Indeed, it is no defense at all.
Impeachment should be decided on the facts of the case, and nothing else besides. But this isn’t a case in favor of Trump; it’s a plea for people to resist the compulsion to say insane things because they dislike this president. There is plenty to criticize without embracing hyperbole or losing all sense of historical perspective."

^ Whataboutism: The Article Remarkably stupid response. You couldn't even find an intelligent observation to make, so you just regurgitated the latest sound-bite that masquerades as commentary.
The truth is that Harsanyi's article simply puts the Left's insane bleating into proper historical context, exposing their limp-wristed whining as the petty nonsense it is.
But then, you're the white guy that was gonna "lead this rebellion" in Ferguson, MO back in 2014 when violent-criminal Michael Brown got justifiably iced, sending the local simians into another of their self-defeating rages. So your opinion is worthless; your views laughable and your credibility in tatters.
It's been that way for years now.

Pretty sure Jackal was leading the charge that fateful night in Ferguson.
But all jokes aside...Look at what Trump has done since getting elected. And imagine what he could get accomplished if he had bipartisan support. Unemployment, illegal immigration (hell i thought this was next to impossible), exports... The numbers here are fucking impressive. Its as if a dose of common sense and rational thinking somehow snuck into our govt for a change.
The impeachment stuff is only getting his voters fired up. Threatening to take away a good thing will only make sure they show up at the polls.
If only he wasnt such a goofy fuck...cant have it all i guess.

If only he wasnt such a goofy fuck...cant have it all i guess. The hair is the only goofy thing about him, but once he let 1991 go by without changing it, he was committed. Any motif change would be viewed by some as a “mid life crisis/ loss of edge” thing. I’ve seen computer sims of him sporting a bald head and beard, and he looks very good, but I would advise him against the change.

Democrats spend millions and waste months on pushing for impeachment knowing it’s going to fail in the senate 100%
They schedule their first real debate at a place with a current labor dispute and are likely going to cancel it
Their front runner and only chance at winning is currently losing his temper, challenging people to push up contests, groping women, talking about hairy legs and completely dodging questions about his son being given millions for political kickbacks.
They are not able to raise money to keep pace with djt
Michael Bloomberg is going to force them to go further left with their policies so they distance themselves from a Wall Street billionaire.
Please explain how they are going to consolidate around 1 person and defeat trump given his success? I understand half the country hates him, but do you think they are going to risk wrecking the economy and ruining our momentum by electing a decrepit and senile man or a socialist.

I talk to family members (the rich half) who credit Obama for the present economic success and successes against ISIS. These schmucks will also tell you that Detroit is fucked up because of Republicans (that’s a direct quote). They’re typical white democrats, and they can’t be budged by any amount of evidence. Look at the couple schmucks in this forum, they’ve not been impressed by all their predictions playing out -not just wrong, but opposite of their predictions. I know zero democrats who have changed their minds on Trump (and let’s face it: if you spend any time as an adult as a Democrat, you’re a hopeless moron). Who may have flipped in favor of Trump? People who already hated democrats in 16 but didn’t buy Trump. At first I didn’t. He was a NY billionaire, so I presumed he was a juiced-in leftist. Then I heard him talk. I’m betting Trump for now, but I can’t help but remember (I’m old) a late ‘91 SNL skit that derived its jokes from how unbeatable Bush senior was. I wish the election was today. Today, I’d bet the house on Trump. There’s no sign of the democrats finding their silver bullet. Also, everything the dumbocrats has thrown at Trump has been ineffective. Some argue that it makes Trump stronger, but I don’t make that argument. If not for all the machinations, Trump would have a 90% approval rate, and even dumb ass Andrew (and my ignorant “non political” babymomma) would concede Trump is the man. This election will demonstrate just how powerful big tech is. Twitter announces that they won’t take political ads, as a direct result of Trump having more money. Google (and YouTube) announces “anti bias” measures that are aimed at thwarting Trump. And that’s only the visible part of the conspiracy.
