Think Ricco is fighting on this card. Lethwei is pretty damn close to bare knuckle, just hand wraps basically, head butts allowed.

I'm in. How much are the tees and sweatshirts? What's hilarious is I was going to say, I think cybergod was at that event in 1889... But then said to myself, cybergod rarely post in the MMA section. Is this just standing? Kicking and throwing was a part of boxinf at one point, wasn't it it? Is Bareknuckle Boxing a Gypsy trademark? Biggest thing to come to Wyoming since it became a state...

The guy on the right side of that poster is (was) my dad.
I'm just glad to see another alternative to those tired-ass UFC pay-per-views with 1 or 2 good fights. But if it's just standup boxing, and not real fighting, I'm not interested...
I'll see tonight; hopefully it's novel enough to enjoy.

Dan M is the ref for the 1st fight. There is five 2 minute rounds. They stopped the fight mid 2nd round to clean up a cut. Then they called the fight between round 2 and 3. Not sure why..

There has been only 1 competitive fight. There was one fight with some guy Bobby Gunn. He's like 73-0 in bareknuckle fighting. They set him up someone that either took a dive or had no reason being in the ring.
I won't buy this again.

The commentator is known. I think he did Strikeforce. Can't think of his name (Ron something)
LOL The ring announcer. He holds a card (with the fights name and such), on the card is says LOCO. Loco, Did you sponsor this event?

Bec's fight was alright. The other girl was out of her league but she was a gamer. She was quick and kept throwing. They stopped the fight after the 2nd round. Not really sure why. They said Doc stoppage, but I don't know why he would've stopped it.
Bec's hand looked real bad after the fight. Very swollen.
Oh and she put on alot of weight since the weigh in LOL

So this was an MMA event and not boxing?
How did it even get sanctioned?
Was it any good and if so, what are some interesting fight results to hear about?

So this was an MMA event and not boxing? How did it even get sanctioned? Was it any good and if so, what are some interesting fight results to hear about? It was basically boxing with no gloves and dirty boxing allowed (holding back of head and hitting). Not sure how it got sanctioned. Safety was a major priority, Meaning it was like old Pride. If someone got a cut they would stop the fight to check it. The ref stopped 2 fights lastnight. I wasn't really sure why, but I guess it was from blood. There was some MMA guys/girls on the card, a couple boxers, kickboxer and one guy that is like 72-0 barenuckle record. It was not good and I wouldn't recommend ording the next one LOL. Most fight were total mismatches ( I don't find that fun to watch), Hell one fight looked like a fix. The guy that was 71-0 must hit like a prime Tyson. He hit the guy in the stomach and the guy dropped like a sack of potatoes. Joey Beltran and Ricco Rodriguez looked very very bad. Oh, it was 5 two minute rounds.

Comparing knees elbows to bare knuckles is not a very well thought out argument, considering the volume in which punches land compare to the other two strikes.

Even girls? Keep us posted with updates and opinions Cyber and Jonas... If you guys are serious about watching... I was serious initially, but then I realized it was indeed just standup boxing. So I decided not to buy it; I haven't seen more than 2 or 3 UFC PPV's in the last 10 years so I couldn't get excited about this show.
But I hope it succeeds, even though I'm not optimistic.

I didnt pay for the event, so my perspective is probably a little less negative. I enjoyed most of the fights for what they were, but the production was pretty bad, especially the camera angles. They consistently were not able to keep up with the fight and many views were blocked for far too long before changing to a new angle where you could see what was happening.
Also the one announcer was terrible and at times had no idea what was going on.
Beltran/Lopez was by far the best fight on the card.

LOL only cause Beltran gassed and almost blew the easy win he had going for him. I just really didn't like the massive mismatches. You are right about the production, it was really bad. The big black dude (kickboxer) should win the HW GP.
